Active statusYes

Activating and Deactivating

How Status Works

  • Active: All access links work normally
  • Inactive: All access links show "This content is not available"

Toggling Status

  1. Open the lead magnet
  2. Find the Active toggle
  3. Click to toggle on/off

Or from the list view, click the status badge.

Use Cases for Deactivating

  • Outdated content: Disable temporarily while updating
  • Campaign ended: Stop access after a promotion
  • Seasonal content: Hide off-season materials
  • Testing: Check what recipients see when disabled

Deactivating a lead magnet doesn't delete it or its analytics. You can reactivate at any time.

PDF Replacement

On Pro and Team plans, you can replace the PDF file without changing existing links.

How to Replace

  1. Open the lead magnet
  2. Click Replace PDF (or the upload icon)
  3. Upload the new PDF
  4. Confirm the replacement

What Happens

  • All existing access links continue to work
  • Links now show the new PDF
  • Previous views and analytics are preserved
  • Recipients see the updated content immediately

Use Cases

  • Fix typos or errors
  • Update pricing or dates
  • Add new content
  • Refresh seasonal materials

Version your files before replacing. Keep "ProductGuide_v1.pdf" on your computer in case you need to revert.

Deleting Lead Magnets

Before You Delete

Consider these alternatives:

  • Deactivate instead of delete (preserves analytics)
  • Archive by deactivating and noting in description
  • Replace the PDF with updated content

How to Delete

  1. Open the lead magnet
  2. Click the ... (more) menu
  3. Select Delete
  4. Type the lead magnet name to confirm
  5. Click Delete

What Gets Deleted

  • The lead magnet and its file
  • All access links (they'll stop working)
  • All generic links/landing pages
  • All analytics data

Deletion is permanent. All existing links will immediately stop working and show an error.

Bulk Actions

Currently, lead magnets must be managed individually. For bulk operations, consider using the API.

Dashboard Organization

Use the search box to find lead magnets by name.

Best Practices

  1. Use clear names: Include type, topic, and date
  2. Add descriptions: Note campaign, audience, or context
  3. Deactivate old content: Keep things tidy without deleting
  4. Regular review: Check analytics monthly to identify top performers
