Understanding Distribution Types
Learn the difference between Direct Access and Public Form distribution to choose the right method for your use case.
Overview
Vavolta offers two ways to share your lead magnets:
- Direct Access - Create unique links for specific recipients
- Public Form - Create a landing page where anyone can access content after entering their email
Understanding when to use each type will help you get the most out of Vavolta.
Direct Access
Direct Access is the default distribution type. It's ideal when you know who should receive your content.
How It Works
- Upload your lead magnet
- Create an access link (optionally with a recipient's email)
- Share that specific link with the recipient
- They click and view immediately - no form required
Best Use Cases

Choosing the Right Type
Use Direct Access when:
- You know who should receive the content
- You want to track individual recipient engagement
- You're following up with specific prospects
- You need view limits or expiration dates
- You want to send personalized links
Use Public Form when:
- You want to generate new leads
- You're sharing on social media or your website
- Anyone should be able to access (with email capture)
- You're running marketing campaigns
- You want a beautiful landing page
Using Both Together
You can use both distribution types for the same lead magnet!
For example:
- Create a Public Form link for your website and social media
- Create Direct Access links for specific VIP prospects
This gives you the best of both worlds - lead generation AND personalized outreach.
Changing Distribution Type
When you create a lead magnet, you can choose its primary distribution type. This affects the default interface but doesn't limit your options.
- Direct Access lead magnets show the access links interface by default
- Public Form lead magnets show the landing page management interface
You can always create the other type of link from any lead magnet.
