Upgrading Your Plan

How to upgrade to a higher Vavolta plan and what to expect.

Overview

Upgrading unlocks more features and capabilities. The process is quick and your new features are available immediately.

How to Upgrade

From the Dashboard

  1. Click your profile/settings
  2. Go to Billing
  3. Click Upgrade or Change Plan
  4. Select your new plan
  5. Enter payment details (if first time)
  6. Confirm

From Plan Limits

When you hit a limit:

  1. You'll see an upgrade prompt
  2. Click Upgrade
  3. Select plan
  4. Complete payment

What Happens When You Upgrade

Immediate Changes

  • New limits apply instantly
  • Features unlock immediately
  • Dashboard updates right away

Billing Changes

Monthly to Monthly:

  • Prorated charge for remainder of month
  • New rate starts next billing date

Monthly to Annual:

  • Charged full annual amount
  • Previous month credited

Annual to Higher Annual:

  • Prorated credit for unused time
  • New annual charge

Upgrading Paths

Free → Starter

You get:

  • 3 lead magnets (from 1)
  • Unlimited views (from 100/month)
  • No Vavolta badge
  • Email support

Free/Starter → Pro

You get:

  • 10 lead magnets
  • Generic links (landing pages for lead capture)
  • Detailed analytics (pages, time spent)
  • Custom branding
  • Custom subdomain
  • GTM integration
  • PDF replacement
  • Priority support

Any → Team

You get:

  • 50 lead magnets
  • 5 team members included (+€8/seat for additional)
  • API access
  • Webhooks
  • CRM integration (Attio)
  • Analytics export

Payment Methods

Accepted

  • Credit/debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, Amex)
  • SEPA Direct Debit (EU)

Adding Payment Method

  1. Go to Settings > Billing
  2. Click Add Payment Method
  3. Enter card details
  4. Save

Your payment method is stored securely via Stripe.

Prorated Billing

How It Works

If you upgrade mid-cycle:

Example: You're on Starter (€5/mo), upgraded to Pro (€15/mo) on day 15 of a 30-day month.

  • Half month of Starter used: €2.50
  • Half month of Pro needed: €7.50
  • You pay: €7.50 - €2.50 credit = €5.00

Annual Plans

If upgrading mid-annual:

  • Unused portion of old plan credited
  • Applied to new plan cost
  • You pay the difference

Upgrade Considerations

Before Upgrading

Think about:

  • Which features do you need?
  • Will you use detailed analytics?
  • Do you need team features?
  • Is custom branding important?

Right-Sizing

Don't over-buy:

  • Pro is great for individuals
  • Team only if you have a team
  • Start lower, upgrade as needed

After Upgrading

Verify New Features

Check that you have access to:

  • New lead magnet limit
  • Unlimited views (if from Free)
  • Unlocked features (branding, analytics, etc.)

Set Up New Features

If you upgraded for specific features:

  1. Custom branding: Go to Settings > Branding
  2. Team: Invite members in Settings > Team
  3. API: Get key from Settings > API
  4. Webhooks: Configure in Settings > Integrations
  5. Custom domain: Set up in Settings > Branding

Team Upgrades

Who Can Upgrade?

Only the workspace Owner can change plans.

What About Members?

When team upgrades:

  • All members get new features
  • No action needed from members
  • Immediate access

Upgrading to Team

If on individual plan:

  1. Upgrade to Team plan
  2. Your workspace becomes a team workspace
  3. Start inviting members

Troubleshooting

Upgrade Button Not Working

  • Check you're the account owner
  • Try different browser
  • Clear cache and retry
  • Contact support

Payment Failing

  • Verify card details
  • Check card isn't expired
  • Ensure sufficient funds
  • Try different card

Features Not Appearing

  • Refresh the page
  • Log out and back in
  • Clear browser cache
  • Check plan actually upgraded in Billing

Wrong Plan

If you selected wrong plan:

  1. Go to Settings > Billing
  2. Change plan again
  3. Or contact support for help

FAQ

Can I upgrade anytime?

Yes, upgrade whenever you want. No restrictions.

Is there a trial?

Contact us to request a trial of paid features.

What if I change my mind?

You can downgrade or cancel anytime. See Managing Subscription.

Do I lose data if I downgrade later?

No, your data stays. You just can't create more if over new limits.
