Understanding the Data

Views

A "view" is counted when:

  • Someone clicks an access link
  • The content starts loading
  • Refresh counts as a new view

Sessions

A session is a continuous viewing period:

  • Starts when content opens
  • Ends after 30 minutes of inactivity
  • Multiple page views = one session

Time Tracking

How time is calculated:

  • Time on page = time between page navigations
  • Session time = sum of all page times
  • Idle time not counted after 30 minutes

Analytics Tips

Identify Hot Leads

Look for:

  • Multiple views in short period
  • Long session times
  • Returns to view again
  • Specific page attention

Find Content Issues

Red flags:

  • Very short sessions (content not engaging)
  • Low page-2 rates (people leave quickly)
  • Lots of views, few returns

Optimize Distribution

Track which channels work:

  • Create separate links per channel
  • Compare performance
  • Double down on winners

Troubleshooting

No Data Showing

  • Check date range (might be empty period)
  • Verify lead magnets are active
  • Confirm links have been shared

Numbers Don't Match

  • Views count all opens (including refreshes)
  • Unique viewers counts people, not opens
  • Check if filtering is applied

Data Seems Delayed

  • Most data appears within minutes
  • Sessions end data can take 30+ minutes
  • Refresh the page if needed
